– Facilitated diffusion = molecules go from an area of higher concentration to lower concentration with the help of a carrier molecule – across a selectively permeable membrane – can be with larger molecules

– Ribosomes = protein builders of the cell

– Endocytosis = large molecules are engulfed by a cell

– Exocytosis = large molecules are released by the cell

– Osmosis = passive transport – water moves across a selectively permeable membrane (ex. water moves out of the cell of a saltwater fish and into the ocean)
