a. Review On the Lookout and TSG Grammar Rules the morning of the test

2. Reading
a. Do NOT be surprised if you see a 2 passage comparison as one of the 4 passages on the test day
b. Make sure you underline as you read
c. Spend 2 minutes reading each passage and 6 minutes/10 questions for regular time

3. Number theory
a. Probability(success)=#successes/total
b. Permutations and Combinations
i. Permutations is like setting up blanks; order matters; ABC is not the same as BCA
ii. Combinations-order does not matter-use the calculator
c. Multiplication and addition rules
i. Multiply for and; add for or

4. Algebra
a. You CAN solve a linear function of 2 variables (x+y) or (x-y) even if you only have 2 equations
b. Slope: change in y over change in x, as m increases, slope gets steeper
c. Review logarithm rules with addition and subtraction involving the same base

5. Trigonometry

i. Use inverse sin/cos/tan when you are looking for the angles
b. Law of sines

6. Geometry
a. How many degrees are there in any 4 sided figure? 360
b. What is the formula for the total degree measure in any polygon? (n-2)*180
c. What is the formula for the measure of 1 angle in a regular polygon? (n-2)*180/n
d. Look for the SPECIAL triangles (3-4-5, 5-12-13, 8-15-17, 7-24-25)
e. Volume of a rectangular solid=l*w*h

7. Essay: Write as much as you can. Try to get to the 4th page. Think of arguments for and against the prompt. Present both sides
a. Aim for a 9 paragraph essay: Intro, 4 paragraphs supporting your side, 3 explaining the other
side, conclusion. Make sure your conclusion has 3-4 sentences at least.
