Top 5 Skills for the New Redesigned SAT

Top 5 Skills for the New Redesigned SAT

The new SAT is launching in March 2016-Let’s get ready

Here are the top 5 skills to succeed on the New SAT Test

1.Graphical analysis-The new test has a heavier emphasis on graphs and charts (in both reading and math). A great way to improve your graphical analysis skills is to read WSJ articles that have graphs and charts.

2.Literary understanding-Say goodbye to summary passages. The new test will feature primary sources from various literary genres. Students need a broad based familiarity with reading works from literary giants like Mark Twain.

3.Content based reading-The SAT Reading Test will require students to fully comprehend on a paragraph, passage, and sentence level.

4.Mental math-The new test will feature a math section with no calculator.

5.Writing Skills-The new SAT essay will require analysis of various arguments  and logically coherent and consistent ideas.
